Christina Perri’s Unborn Baby Will Need Surgery After She Gives Birth

Christina Perri is sharing an update after she revealed she was hospitalized for pregnancy complications.

The 34-year-old “Jar of Hearts” singer, who is currently pregnant with her second child, took to her Instagram Story on Thursday (November 12) to reveal that her unborn baby will need to undergo surgery immediately after she gives birth.

There’s a lot more that we have to be cautious of. Baby could come at any moment,” Christina explained. “Basically, there’s a complication with the baby’s intestines. The baby right now is scheduled to have an operation when they arrive. We’ll spend some time in the hospital.”

Christina continued, “We’re going to prepare for [the NICU], but anything could happen. We’re just gonna stay really hopeful. I guess the biggest thing is we hope the baby stays inside and can get as big as possible before this big event they have to go through. It’s just a couple more weeks, so I’m gonna try to take it easy and hope for the best.”

Earlier in the week, Christina revealed that she will be staying the hospital until she gives birth, which could be sooner than expected.

Christina announced back in July that she and husband Paul Costabile are expecting their second child together, six months after suffering a miscarriage during her previous pregnancy.

We are wishing the best to Christina Perri.
