David Beckham was joined by his very glam wife Victoria Beckham, who he recently celebrated his 24th anniversary with, and two of their four kids as he celebrated Lionel Messi joining his football team Inter Miami.
David, 48, was all smiles as he posed for the cameras alongside Lionel, 36, who proudly held up his new pink number 10 Inter Miami football shirt.
The club threw a glitzy ceremony to welcome the Argentinian, who is regarded as one of the best players in the world, which they branded The Unveil.
As the team’s co-owner, David had a major role in the ceremony and wife Victoria, 49, and two of his kids, 18 year old son Cruz and 12 year old daughter Harper, made sure they turned up to support him.
Victoria wore a white suit with a black shirt underneath, which was near identical to the look sported by Ayeda Mas, whose husband Jorge Mas co-owns the club with David.
David, meanwhile, kept his style simple and classic as he rocked a navy suit.
Harper looked quite the mini fashionista in a light pink square neck maxi dress and an elegantly slicked-back bun while Cruz embraced the Florida beach aesthetic in a dark red silk bowling shirt casually thrown over a white tank top.
David and Victoria’s two eldest children, 24 year old Brooklyn and 20 year old Romeo, were missing in action at the party.
The four in attendance certainly looked dapper, but the weather wasn’t exactly playing ball.
The ceremony was delayed due to torrential rain and thunder over Miami and, when it finally went ahead, dad David very nearly suffering a very embarrassing gaffe.
As he was walking out onto the field, he was spotted having a quick wobble on the wet ground, but kept his cool and was able to regain his balance.
However, despite what the star might have hoped, it didn’t go unnoticed by fans and a TikTok pointing out his “close call” has racked up more than 60,000 likes online.
David was then joined on the pitch by his fellow owner Jorge Mas and the man of the hour, Lionel Messi, himself, who was full of praise for his new club.
“Thank you very much,” Messi said, as the crowd cheered him. “First of all I want to thank all the people of Miami for this welcome, this affection. I want to thank you for the kindness and love that you have given me. This has happened so fast.”
He went on to offer his specific thanks to Jorge and David and added that “everything has been spectacular” since he arrived.
David, who recently shared an adorable throwback shot of his daughter Harper, also sung the pro footballer’s praises during the event, and described the signing as “a dream come true” for him and his club.
