I’m a Celebrity…South Africa star Helen Flanagan has shared the heartbreaking struggle she faced in recent days as she struggled with being alone after her split from her fiance Scott Sinclair.
The former Coronation Street star spent the long Coronation weekend in her family home for the first time without her kids, as they were spending the weekend with their grandparents.
Taking to Instagram to open up about how she was feeling, Helen explained: "So this long weekend was my first weekend that I didn’t have my kids as they were having a good time with their daddy and nanna.
"I usually when my kids go away make sure I go out, usually run to London and get drunk with my friends."
"I felt like it was time though to face being in my family house on my own which is something I’ve put off for a very long time as I didn’t want to feel sad."
"But sometimes I suppose you’ve just got to feel stuff and it’s ok to cry.”
After making the vulnerable confession, Helen explained more about her reason for choosing to share with her fans, as she added: "I wanted to share this because sometimes we scroll on Instagram and things can look perfect but in reality some things are just s**t.
"Also I have a big following of other mums and women that will relate to me and I love that I’ve built a supportive network of women.
"Anyway here’s some snaps from my weekend. Didn’t want to get out my dressing gown and binge ate Colin the caterpillar cake."
Helen then concluded her post by telling her followers: ”Anyway bring on the week. My house has never been so immaculate.”
The emotional post came just days after Helen had shared a video alongside her ex on social media as she returned home from South Africa following her appearance on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.
In the short clip, Helen could be seen setting down on UK soil where she was soon greeted by her children Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and two year old Charlie as well as doting dad, former fiancé Scott.
"Found this video of when I came back from the jungle,” explained the Rosie Webster actress, before continuing: "I was away for one month and never left my babies before."
Cuddling her little ones, who were undoubtedly thrilled to be reunited with their mum, Rosie was clearly overwhelmed with emotion as she cherished the sweet but poignant reunion.
Scott and Rosie parted ways in July 2022, but have remained firm friends since and are publicly committed to co-parenting their three children together.
