Jessica Biel is ‘standing by’ Justin Timberlake after he broke his silence over pictures of himself and Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright holding hands on a boozy night out.
The 37-year-old married the Can’t Stop The Feeling singer – whom she shares son Silas with – in 2012, and the pair have been seriously loved-up ever since.
And an insider has claimed the pair will ‘work through’ the drama – following the photos emerging at the end of last month.
‘He’s charming and outgoing,’ they said. ‘And obviously he drank too much this time, but Jessica believes he didn’t cheat on her. She will stand by him.’
While another source added to People that the couple will ‘work through this.
‘It was good that he apologised publicly but obviously the real work he is doing is in private and hopefully this was just a bad drunken night of this type of behaviour.’
Justin, 38, and Alisha shocked fans when pictures emerged of them holding hands under a table during a night out in Bourbon Street, in New Orleans, casting scrutiny over his marriage to Jessica.
The Social Network actor broke his silence on the photos in an emotional statement shared on Instagram.
‘I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people that I love,’ he began.
‘A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement – but let me be clear – nothing happened between me and my co-star.
‘I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son.’
He concluded: ‘I apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that.
‘I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it.’
Alisha has yet to speak out about the pictures.
