Kate Moss has revealed she was scolded by her daughter Lila for one of her most daring runway looks, when she famously donned a tiny Vivienne Westwood miniskirt while walking topless in a runway show.
The 48-year-old revisited her daring look on the catwalk in a new video for British Vogue – while reflecting on Lila Grace’s own outfits, including the sheer Burberry gown she wore to the Met Gala in May.
Kate giggled as she revealed that Lila Grace, 19, thought her skirt was way ‘too short,’ before admitting that even now she turns to her teen daughter for fashion advice.

Kate strutted her stuff for Vivienne Westwood in 1993 and wore her miniskirt with nothing but a pair of tottering heels, going topless and licking an ice cream – which made headlines at the time.
‘This was one of my favourites,’ Kate began.
‘This is a Vivienne Westwood show and it was a Magnum ice cream and they just said, ”eat that as you go out with no top on.” And I was like, ”yeah I’ll try.”

‘I managed that. And those heels as well. That skirt, I’ve got one and Lila, she’s like, ”Mummy! It’s so short!” Yeah, you’re supposed to see your knickers.’
Kate added: ‘That collection was so beautiful, I feel very lucky to have had that experience.’
Kate said that she now turns to her daughter for fashion advice and reflected on their look at the MET Gala in May.
Lila Grace, who has been making a name for herself in the modelling industry, looked incredible in a nude and sheer Burberry gown.
‘She couldn’t go to the toilet but she loved her look,’ Kate said.

‘She’s got really good fashion sense. I ask her for advice. She doesn’t ask me, I ask her.’

During the same interview, Kate recalled the time Johnny Depp presented her with a diamond necklace in a very unique fashion – by nestling it between his buttocks.
Kate, now 48, and Johnny, now 58, were Hollywood’s ‘it’ couple when they dated from 1994 to 1998, with their relationship hitting headlines again recently when she was called to testify in his libel trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
‘We were going out to dinner and he said, “I’ve got something in my bum, can you have a look,” and I was like, “what” and I put my hand down his trousers and I pulled out a diamond necklace,’ she explained.

On Tuesday, Lila left fans baffled with her very unique style choice, taking to Instagram to share a close-up snap of her quirky red talon toenails.
She sported the pointed toenail-claws as part of a photoshoot with Perfect Magazine for its September issue.
But her 409,000 Instagram followers were left baffled by the fashion choice, as they questioned how she put her socks on after the shoot.
One person joked: ‘Then how to wear socks with those nails.’

And other fans quipped that her talon-like toenails could be used as a weapon because they were so sharp.
One user commented: ‘Imagine getting toed to death.’
While another added: ‘them toes boutta cut people damn.’
Lila first started modelling five years ago and made her catwalk debut at Miu Miu’s SS21 show, before appearing on her first Vogue cover earlier this year.
Kate shares Lila with Jefferson Hack, with whom she was in a relationship in the early Noughties.
Jefferson and Kate – who dated from 2001 to 2004 with Lila being born in 2002 – have an amicable relationship and would ensure their daughter spent a regular amount of time with each of them in her childhood.
While Lila still has a good relationship with both parents, she is often seen out with mum Kate as she is signed to her modelling agency.

The mother and daughter have walked in fashion shows together and made a joint appearance at this year’s Met Ball in New York.
Lila is also now the director of her own company, Grace Grove Ltd, a move that coincides with supermodel mum Kate winding down three of her firms.
The name of the company is a nod to The Grove, the family home in North London, which Kate sold recently.
Speaking about growing up in the spotlight in a recent interview with Vogue, Lila confessed that she was shocked by the attention surrounding her mother, admitting that she was surprised her friends even knew who she was.
She explained: ‘I went to secondary school and everyone was like, ‘Oh, your mum’s Kate Moss!’ You don’t really have a filter when you’re that young and I was like, ‘How do you know who she is? She’s old! She’s old and boring!”
Adding more about her relationship with her mother, Lila told the fashion bible: ‘I was quite protective over my mum.
‘All my mum’s friends say that I was so scary as a child. I was quite serious. But also, I would always copy her. She would always have her head down and not look at the camera, so I’d always put my head down and not look at the camera. I still do it.’
The September issue of British Vogue is available now.
