The Saturdays star Mollie King has revealed what one of her daughter’s middle names is.
Mollie gave birth to her first child in late November, and went on to reveal that they’d named her Annabella. The singer shares the tot with fiancé Stuart Broad.
Now Mollie has shared that one of Annabella’s middle names is Hope.
Alongside a sweet photo of Mollie holding up the newborn she wrote: “Annabella has given us lots of hope over these past few difficult months, so Hope had to be one of her middle names.”
Mollie went on: “She has been our ray of sunshine and I know she’s going to continue to light up our lives.”
The news of Annabella's sweet middle name comes after Mollie's father was tragically diagnosed with a brain tumour in August, and passed away shortly after Annabella’s arrival.
Announcing the heartbreaking news on social media, Mollie informed her fans: “Heartbroken beyond words. In August, my family’s world was shattered when my Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
"Last week, we had to face the day we hoped would never come and say goodbye. Dad, we love you with all our hearts and we will miss you every single day.
"You have been our hero and it’s impossible to think of our lives without you.”
The Up hitmaker went on: "You have always been there for us with every step we’ve taken and you even held on a few extra days to meet baby Annabella.
"You gave us your everything. You will be in our hearts and our memories every single day."
Mollie went on to be inundated with support from her celebrity pals and followers after she shared the devastating news, sparking her to return to social media and thank them.
“Thank you so much for all your kind messages about my Dad passing away,” she began.
“It’s been really comforting reading them. I can’t begin to tell you how much it means that you’ve taken the time to get in touch.”
She went on to describe what she’s going through as “an incredibly sad time”, but said that she and her family are “doing our best”.
Mollie also sent her love to others who have lost a parent as it’s “a feeling unlike anything I’ve ever felt”.
While the name Hope is linked to the optimism Annabella has brought to Mollie and her family during such a difficult time following her dad’s death, the tot’s first name derives from the Italian word ‘bella’, meaning beautiful.
The name has become less popular over recent years, and according to BabyNames.com, it's not currently in the top 100 on the Baby Names Popularity Charts.
