Louise Minchin’s former co-star Dan Walker, 44, was quick to share his thoughts after Ant and Dec announced she was the latest celebrity to leave the camp this evening. Taking to Twitter, he called for the 53-year-old I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star to go back in.

In view of his 738,000 followers, the presenter shared the show’s tweet which read: “She’s been a ray of positivity and joy for the Campmates since day 1, but Louise’s Castle story has finally reached its end European castle #ImACeleb.”

Dan wrote: “NOOOOO!!! Put her back in.”

Fans were quick to agree with the BBC Breakfast star, with many believing she’d make it to the final.

Liz Whitmore commented: “I can’t believe she’s gone!

“Gave her all my 5 votes every night!!! @louiseminchin is MY winner!”

Fiona Forsyth wrote: “Gutted for her… Louise was my winner.

“She’s had all my votes… fabulous from day 1. What a fantastic woman!!!”

Louise Rae added: “Oh man. Devastated doesn’t come close.”

Gary Diamond penned: “Louise was the one I truly thought would and should have won.”

“Aww gutted she is out, she is so genuinely lovely,” Anita Cawley wrote. 

Despite the surprise, Louise seemed happy with the result and expressed her excitement of seeing her family again.

Speaking to the hosts, she said: “I’ve learned so much about myself and about other people. It’s been fantastic, thank you for keeping me here for so long.

Louise went on to say she was “gutted” Frankie Bridge was the only female left in the Castle.

She added: “I’m disappointed that’s the case and I don’t know why that’s the case because there were some great women in there.

“I said to [Frankie], ‘go win it,’ and I hope she will. I hope she can just get through these last few days.”

Ant and Dec also commented on her kind and caring ways as they showed footage of her comforting several of her campmates.

She continued: “I didn’t realise how much I care about caring. It wasn’t just the girls, it was Naughty Boy, Danny would come and have a word.

“I loved it but it’s a big responsibility and I took it really seriously.”

The six celebrities remaining on the show are; Frankie, Danny Miller, David Ginola, Adam Woodyatt, Simon Gregson and Matty Lee.
