Thom Yorke has thrown shade at Sam Smith, and heaped praise on teen pop sensation Billie Eilish in a new interview.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the Radiohead frontman shared his experience attending an Eilish show with his daughter.
Sam Smith was sitting a row behind Yorke as they were watching Eilish’s performance of “You Should See Me In a Crown” in London.
“We sat down and whats-his-name, the guy who did the Bond film we didn’t do? He stands behind us and I’m sitting with my daughter, her friends, and my girlfriend, when suddenly everyone goes ‘Saaaam!’ I’m, like, ‘Aaaaargh!” Yorke said.
“I like Billie Eilish. She’s doing her own thing. Nobody’s telling her what to do,” he added.
