Fans of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! are eagerly awaiting any news on the new All Stars season and now Ant and Dec have finally revealed some of the details.

Last year the duo confirmed that a spin-off was being filmed in South Africa, which would feature our ‘favourite celebrities from the last 20 years who are going back in to do it one more time’.

The show has already been filmed and is due to hit our screens sometime later this year.

Appearing on Lorraine on Friday morning, the presenters, both aged 47, teased some information about just how the programme was set to unfold.

‘It’s kind of an all-stars, taking some of your favourite campmates from the last 20 years and taking them for a brand new challenge in South Africa,’ Dec said.

‘So it’s a completely different landscape and they’re doing it again.

‘They’re competing to become the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend of the Savanna…it’s very special.’

Ant added: ‘It’s slightly different to the show we do in Australia because they go head-to-head in trials and whoever loses leaves.

‘It’s quite brutal, so that’s how we decided the winner.’

‘We’ve done it, we’ve shot it and it’s really, really good,’ Dec said.

While they were finally able to make it back to Australia to film the latest season of I’m A Celebrity, Ant and Dec jetted off to South Africa first for this one.

However they admitted it had been quite a change as they were in an actual jungle this time, and were facing new wildlife who posed their own challenges to filming.

‘Do you know what though, there was loads of baboons when we filmed the series,’ Ant said.

‘There was baboons everywhere. Like we’d be in the middle of doing a trial and then you would just hear the noise, literally just behind the cameraman, and a whole family of baboons … is that what you call them?

‘A group of baboons? A school of baboons? I don’t know. A babble of baboons would just sit watching the trial.’

Dec then went on to explain that the baboons would turn up in the middle of trials and just sit there watching, but the pair ended up just thinking of their new friends as a live audience.

‘Hopefully there will be a few more watching when it goes on telly,’ Dec joked.

However, Ant said they struggled to get any sort of reaction from their unique audience as they cracked jokes along the way.

While the cast is yet to officially be announced, previous campmates like Carol Vorderman, 62, and Paul Burrell, 64, were spotted at an airport returning from South Africa in September.

Among those reportedly trying to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle also include Phil Tufnell, 56, Amir Khan, 35, Jordan Banjo, 29, Andrew Whyment, 41, Dean Gaffney, 44 and Shaun Ryder, 60.

Other names also rumoured to be in the running are Gillian McKeith, 62, Georgia Toffolo, 27, Helen Flanagan, 32, Janice Dickinson, 67, Myleene Klass, 44, Joe Swash, 40, and Fatima Whitbread, 61.

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV.
