Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons’ eponymous label is a fan favorite at London Fashion Week, bringing angsty rebellion to the runway season after season. For Spring/Summer 2024, Chopova Lowena took antics to West London’s BAYSIXTY6 Skate Park, taking over the concrete jungle on a warm summer night.
The collection felt inexplicably complete, setting a fresh stage for the cult label. Chopova Lowena took grunge dolls to the skatepark, blending the brand’s folklore narrative with streetwear references and gothic underpinnings. The model line-up was packed with the Chopova Lowena family, portraying the “skater boy you love, or the boy you want to be.”
Chopova Lowena formed its version of skater boy chic, presenting graffiti-covered zip-up hoodies paired with lace outlines and bolted bottoms. The cast stormed down ramps in upholstered checkered kilts pinned together by chain links, while floral embellished knitwear and angel-printed tees were upgraded with intricate lacework.
Oversized nylon bombers and bold leather jackets received metallic decor, while historical paintings enhanced carpeted dresses with a dated feel. The brand’s cheeky illustrations made the crowd smile, sharing a similar reaction to multi-layered white dresses destined for disobedient affairs.
