DTLR Collaborates with New Balance for 9060 "Fire Sign"

Maryland-based retailer DTLR is teaming up yet again with Boston-based New Balance, this time on a 9060 dubbed the “Fire Sign.”

The pair follows other popular collaborations released earlier this year, including the 990v3 “GR3YSCALE,” the 2002R ”Lovers Only” and the “Wild Style 2.0” — a variant of the New Balance 990v4.

While previous pairs have opted for heavy use of black suede panels, providing understated looks, the “Fire Sign” is about as loud as it gets. The pair is covered in vibrant red suede panels layered on top of a bright orange and yellow gradient mesh base layer.

Other notable design elements include a significant use of silver reflective tape throughout, with the lateral “N” logos and rear “NB” in the same Metallic Silver color. At the medial side of the shoe is an embroidered and modernized “N” logo in black, complemented by black laces, black heel guards, white midsoles with black speckles and black outsoles.

DTLR x New Balance’s 9060 “Fire Sign” is expected to be released on November 17 via New Balance’s official site, in a full-family size run, with prices ranging from $100 USD to $180 USD.

In related footwear news, Levi’s and New Balance are set to release a 580 pack.
