Whether it be their mainline offerings or collaborative ones, Salomon is characterized by its affinity for stylish, yet versatile outdoor-oriented silhouettes. In line with its catalog of collaborations, Salomon linked up with Daquisiline Gomis and Coralie Jouhier’s creative studio, Jah Jah, this past July to remix its RX MOC 3.0 silhouette. Now, the two entities have reunited to update the ACS Pro silhouette.
To introduce the new shoe, the new entities dive into West African traditions and myths. Specifically, digging into the story of “Kankourang” to uncover the discussions of one’s inner child on a journey. The cultural and spiritual figure serves as a protector of these values for community preservation alongside warding off danger.
The shoe takes form in deep shades of chocolate and black with cuts of red, yellow and green. The boldly dark shades encompass the fullness of the shoe, which is aptly fit for the fall and winter seasons. The accompanying cinematic campaign was crafted with a desire to go beyond just revealing a pair of shoes. With an intent on longevity and purpose, the campaign aspires to create an immersive experience that blends cinema, culture, photography and more.
Priced at $230 USD, the new Salomon x Jah Jah ACS Pro is set to release online soon.
