Continuing to dig into its extensive basketball archive, Reebok is now gearing up to bring back Shaquille O’Neal‘s iconic Shaq Attaq “OG” signature shoe. Originally introduced back in 1992, the Shaq Attaq served to encapsulate the personality of the larger-than-life rookie star.
Designed by former Reebok designer Judy Close 30 years ago, the shoe was marked by “Shaq” branding elements and housed innovative Reebok footwear technology like the custom-fit Pump bladder and carbon fiber footplate. The signature shoe offered best-in-class comfort and performance while encapsulating the raw power play style of the then Orlando Magic center.
Returning in 1992 form, the Reebok Shaq Attaq “OG” comes in a classic Orlando Magic color scheme with marked by the combined Pump-lace closure, midsole-integrated crosscheck and side stripe, and anodized synthetic collar. Rounding up the design of the shoe are carbon fiber footplates and Shaq “Dunkman” branding.
Priced at $170 USD, the Shaq Attaq “OG” is releasing September 23 in adult unisex sizing via Reebok and at select retailers.
