Following the success of Timex‘s original 41mm Giorgio Galli S1 Automatic, the company has now created a slightly more compact 38mm variant.
Once again celebrating the watchmaker’s Milan-based design director and his creative vision, the new series comes in three shades — Inverness Green, Atlantic Blue and Iceland Stone Grey — all of which are inspired by Galli’s love for photography and how the light and shadows look through the lens of his camera. The timepiece retains the iconic skeleton-injected 316L stainless steel case albeit at a more humble size now, along with a double dome anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Powering the watch is then the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing a power reserve of 42 hours.
“To me, Timex is different from any other brand,” says Galli. “Timex has no competition. It stands for independence, timeless beauty, quality and incredible value. Being able to sculpt the legacy of this iconic brand is truly a joy and an honor.”
For those interested, the new 38mm version of the Giorgio Galli S1 Automatic will be available over on Timex’s website on December 17 for $450 USD.
Elsewhere in watches, IWC has released two new Big Pilot models in its Spitfire range.
