Don’t panic, you didn’t sleep through June, Prime Day is just coming early this year. Following last year’s Prime Day that happened in October, it only seems fair that Amazon doesn’t make us wait a whole month more to shop the blockbuster sale.

The marketing event, which first began in 2015, is now set for June 21 and 22.

Right after Father’s Day weekend, you may want to give Dad an I.O.U. this year and shop the sale for the best deals on Amazon devices and other must-haves at amazing Prime Day prices. Like every year, there’s bound to be awesome savings on home, tech, beauty, kitchen items and more from top-notch brands.

Ahead, find the basics of what to know ahead of Amazon’s discount event — coming up in just a few weeks.

When is Prime Day?

After much speculation, the company officially confirmed the dates and this year’s Prime Day will be on Monday and Tuesday, June 21 and 22, 2021.

According to the official description on Amazon’s Prime Day landing page, Prime Day is “an annual deal event exclusively for Prime members, delivering two days of special savings on products from small businesses and top brands.”

What deals can we expect?

Although Amazon won’t announce which items they will be offering savings on for the main Prime Day event on June 21 and 22, the online retailer will be dropping early Prime Day deals in the days and weeks leading up to the big two-day sale — starting today!

Be sure to check out our article dedicated on early Prime Day deals. The discounts include savings on Apple AirPods Pro, the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite, $15 off on Prime Wardrobe, 35% off smart TVs and more.

Past items that one could speculate will be a part of the larger sale include Amazon products like the Kindle, Echo Dot (currently $10 off!) and more. There will be tons of deals you can shop ahead of the two-day shopping event, announced throughout the month, so be sure to be on the lookout.

How can I sign up for sales?

Only Prime members are eligible for sales, so to qualify, buyers must first enroll in Prime membership. Prime costs $12.99/month, plus taxes. Customers who are students or receive government assistance through EBT or Medicaid can qualify for discounted Prime membership rates. In addition to sales access next month, it also includes other discounts across Amazon’s empire of entertainment offerings and free shipping on many items.
