England face their toughest match yet in the Rugby World Cup tomorrow, taking on the Springboks in a tantalising semi-final clash in Paris.

The starting 15 – and every England fan in the Stade de France – will be hoping the Princess of Wales will be joining them, for the royal has been a veritable lucky charm in the two matches she’s attended at the tournament so far.

At the weekend, Kate, who is Patron of the England Rugby Football Union, punched the air as she watched England defeat Fiji to book their place in the final four.

And an earlier appearance at the Rugby World Cup saw a delighted Princess of Wales cheered by a 60,000-strong crowd as she watched England defeat Argentina 27-10 back in the group matches.

England will be hoping to enact revenge against South Africa for the World Cup final in Japan four years ago. The Springboks beat hosts France 29-28 in an epic quarter-final last Sunday.

It’s unclear whether Kate will make it to Paris; the city has been on a heightened security alert following the Israel-Gaza conflict, with six French airports closed following the threat of an attack earlier this week.

For her last two trips across the Channel, Kate has worn a patriotic white; and England fans will hope she chooses the colour again and makes it third time lucky if the royal does head to the match.

On Sunday, the mother-of-three opted for a £30 recycled boucle blazer in white from Zara.

She appeared to match with Lady Hilary Beaumont, who was a seat away from the royal and next to her husband, rugby’s Sir Bill Beaumont, who’s the chairman of World Rugby.

Lady Hilary wore a white blazer and matching trousers, while Kate opted for black trousers.

Last month, in the group stages, Kate was in attendance to watch England and Argentina battle it out at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille, with England winning 27-10

And her earlier appearance at the World Cup proved just as successful in both the match-winning and sartorial stakes.

Clearly popular in France, the Princess of Wales was cheered by a 60,000-strong crowd as she watched England defeat Argentina 27-10 on September 9th.

Kate stood in the stands and appeared in good spirits as she chatted with Bill Beaumont ahead of the match at the Stade de Marseille.

The royal mother-of-three opted for her £1,945 white Alexander McQueen blazer and matching trousers.

She complemented her suit with a dazzling jewellery set she first wore for Princess Charlotte’s christening in 2015 – including her pair of £3,750 Mappin & Webb ‘Empress’ Diamond Carriage Earrings and matching £2,000 Empress Mini White Gold & Diamond Pendant Necklace.

Sweet footage from the event showed the crowd erupt into rapturous applause and cheers for Kate when she was shown on the stadiums. She appeared surprised and delighted with the reaction.

Kate, who is patron of the Rugby Football Union, watched the match without husband William, who is the patron of the Welsh Rugby Union.
