A savvy mother has created a remarkable hideaway for her daughter by utilising the unused space in her loft.
Social media expert Sara Tasker, from West Yorkshire, decided to make the cosy fort for her youngster Orla so that she could snuggle up while watching her favourite TV shows or reading her much-loved books.
Sara’s home was already being renovated to accommodate an extra bedroom on the top floor when she had the idea.
Adorned with fairy lights and home to multiple fluffy cushions, the cosy hideaway is wood-panelled and features a tiny shelf for Orla’s tablet.
Speaking to FEMAIL, Sara said: ‘I always dreamed of a little hideout as a kid, but it was never possible.

The space underneath the eaves in Sara’s attic was originally going to be a cupboard, but the mother decided to forgo having more room for clutter and created the fort instead.
Offering the youngster some privacy, the hideout comes complete with a wooden door, which features a chic rope fashioned into a handle on the outside.
‘We were supposed to be building a cupboard into the dead space under the eaves, and I realised it was the perfect opportunity to do something special,’ Sara explained.
‘Our joiner, Neil Lodge, assumed I was joking for quite a while, but to me it’s just a sensible choice.

The creative mother added: ‘Who wouldn’t want an indoor treehouse instead of a place to hoard more clutter?
‘I think most of us have a craving from time to time for a safe place to curl up away from the world.
‘It’s big enough that I can snuggle up with my daughter, or she can play in there with a friend. Our pet dog loves it too.’
Sara, who runs the Instagram account @me_and_orla, kept the hideout a secret until it was done – filling it with blankets and fairy lights – before letting an excited Orla open the door.
