My boyfriend's completely gone off sex since I gained weight | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: MY boyfriend has gone off sex because I put on three stone over the pandemic.

He admitted he no longer finds me attractive, even though he still loves me and wants to be with me.

I am 34, he is 36, we’ve been together for six years and have a four-year-old son.

I always used to be slim but, at the start of the lockdowns, I got made redundant. I began comfort-eating out of depression and boredom.

The fatter I got, the less sex we had.

And for the past year, my boyfriend hasn’t made a move at all.

He used to jump on me at every chance. Now, I’m lucky if I get a peck on the cheek.

He uses every excuse under the sun – being tired, our son over-hearing, having a muscle strain.

When I finally broke down about it and asked what the problem was, he confessed he fancied me more when I was slimmer.

Now I’m working hard to lose weight by eating more healthily and exercising.

I’m doing it for myself, not for my boyfriend.

But I no longer feel good enough for him, and I’ve lost all my confidence.
