A TikTok user has filmed an older man following her through the streets despite her desperate pleas for him to stop.
The 21-year-old’s two videos taken in Los Angeles, US, have been seen a combined 5.3 million times since being shared over the weekend.
In one clip the woman can be seen begging the man to “leave me alone” as he follows just metres behind her.
But he ignores her and replies: “That’s okay, I don’t care, you can record me all you want.”
When she finally stops to talk to him, he says: “Just talk to me for two minutes and I’ll leave you alone.”
The woman, posting under TikTok account @loreboree1, then walks off again as the man starts commenting on what she is wearing.
“Why are you dressed like this, are you a prostitute?” he asks.
In a follow-up video, she alleges that the man has been following her for around four years.
“Stop stalking me, I can’t live here any more because you keep stalking me,” the woman tearfully says.
But despite her audible distress, the man simply says: “I will if you talk to me for two minutes.”
“No, zero minutes,” she screams. “I don’t ever want to hear your voice, I don’t ever want to see you. Please, God bless you, but please leave me alone.”
In text attached to the video, the TikToker says she hasn’t taken out a restraining order because police told her she would need to share her identity.
