The team from parenting website Nameberry put together a list of 50 monikers which are predicted to be all the rage this year. Stephanie was a fan of names like Callahan and Artemis, but it was bad news for parents thinking of naming their kids Harold or Rocky
Stephanie loved the name Artemis, explaining that ‘Greek mythology names are so popular right now’.
She also said celebrity baby names will be popular, for example Cy, which is the name of Jennifer Lawrence’s son, and Eyre, which is pronounced the same as Kylie Jenner’s son Aire.
Wolf, which is the name of Australian influencer Tammy Hembrow’s son, also made the list.
Gender-neutral names like Ash and Miller were her personal favourite due to their versatility.
The expert also liked Clover and Kit because of their nature undertones, as well as four letter names such as Ezri, Elio and Kiki.

Baby name expert: The best up and coming names
Other up and coming names she supported included Torben, Truett, Vita, Waverly, Otto and Evander.
Stephanie’s favourites out of all the fifty names were Callahan, Idalia, Miller, Truett and Ziggy.
‘Callahan is a gorgeous names it gives you the nickname of Calla and Cal,’ she said.
She was against the name Cielo because although it is unique, she doesn’t think parents will be keen on a name so difficult to pronounce.
The expert also disliked Harold, explaining it’s a vintage name that won’t be making a comeback’ unlike Lionel, Maxine, Winston and Odette.
She advised parents against using names that appropriate other cultures, for example the traditional Hawaiian name Koa.
She thinks people aren’t ready for the name Rocky, nor the biblical name Zebedee.
Baby name expert’s least favourite up and coming names
Hundreds shared their love for the names featured on the list.
‘Miller has been our top boy name for the past year,’ one mum said.
‘Artemis is already on my baby list as a huge contender, I’ve been trying to convince my boyfriend to not remove Elio from my list because I love that name,’ another wrote.
‘Love this! Added two to my next baby name list,’ another said.
However, others were concerned the up and coming names would become too popular.
‘Elowyn better not get popular. I named my kid that almost seven years ago because it was uncommon,’ one woman said.
