BBC Breakfast viewers were left in shock after Neighbours star Ryan Moloney swore on TV.

Ryan, who played Toadie Rebecci, appeared on the BBC morning programme via satellite to discuss the huge news that Neighbours was being revived just months after its final episode aired.

Channel 5, as fans know, controversially axed the Aussie soap earlier this year, and a host of famous stars who made a name for themselves on Ramsay Street returned for an incredible last outing, which aired in July.

But it was confirmed yesterday that Amazon Freevee had stepped in to revive the serial drama, with a new season in the works, set to premiere exclusively for free in the UK and US in 2023.

Ryan joined Breakfast presenter Charlie Stayt to discuss the historic announcement, but fans were left in shock when the popular soap star swore during the chat, branding the place in which he was broadcasting from as a ‘Chateau S***hole’.

‘I’m at home,’ said Ryan, when asked where he was. ‘This is our farm here that we’re doing up.

‘This is the place that we call Chateau S***hole actually, because we are going to pull it all apart and build it up into another nice shiny new farm.’

Charlie didn’t appear to notice Ryan’s slip-up, and proceeded to question him about Neighbours’ return instead.

Fans online, however, were quick to notice.

‘Highlight of my week was seeing Toadie off Neighbours saying ‘chateau s***hole’ on BBC Breakfast just now,’ wrote one viewer on Twitter.

‘Toadie off of @neighbours just said chateau s***hole on bbc breakfast and nobody noticed.’ said another.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
