TOWIE star Amy Childs opens up on tough night with new twins Millie and Billy

Amy Childs has opened up about her “tough night” with her newborn twins Millie and Billy, which left the mum with less than two hours of sleep.

Amy, 32, welcomed her twins in early April and shares the babies with her fiancé, Billy Delbosq, 40.

The mum-of-four has been keeping fans updated on her new life as a mother to twins, and this morning, Friday 19 May, discussed her sleep deprivation after a “tough night” with the babies.

Sharing a boomerang to her Instagram Story of her looking undeniably tired, Amy wrote: “Wow what a tough night.. Sleep deprivation is well and truly real.

“Twins are feeding every 3/4 hours over 5 ounces.”

She went on: “Last night they both didn’t settle after [their] 2am bottle so was up and down until 5am [pleading emoji] Think I’ve had not even 2 hours sleep.

“Mums if you have had a tough night, we’ve got this.”

Amy added that she hopes that “it will get easier” with the babies.

As well as documenting her new life with twins on social media, Amy also has a new TV show that will show the TOWIE star in the run up to giving birth and the weeks that followed Millie and Billy’s arrival.

The new series starts on Tuesday, 23 May, and Amy’s already treated fans to a teaser of what’s to come.

Episode one will see the family wait in anticipation for Millie and Billy's arrival, while the second episode will see them embark on the early days after the birth. With double the responsibility, viewers will get to see how Amy and Billy manage their new family dynamic.

Fans will see Amy preparing to give birth to her babies as well, as the reality TV star had her eyebrows and a spray tan done in true TOWIE fashion.

While Amy was already a mum ahead of Millie and Billy's birth, she knew that having twins would be very different to her previous experiences and said to OK! at the beginning of her pregnancy that she felt like she was going “back to square one” again.

“As a new mum, you can read every single book, you can talk to loads of people, but you’re never actually ready until you have your own baby,” she told us at the time.

“Polly was such a good baby, and Ritchie was a good baby as well – I just sort of winged it really. But with twins, I feel like I’m back to square one now.”

Fortunately close pal and fellow twin mum Frankie Essex has been on hand to share her advice to Amy, who hailed the mum-of-four as “amazing”.
