Coronation Street star Tony Maudsley has shared his thoughts on Strictly Come Dancing – and he’s not too happy.
The glitzy BBC One show was back for another instalment on Saturday night (October 7) for the second live show of the series. Celebs like Bobby Brazier and Angela Scanlon all took to the dance floor to show off their best moves.
But for Corrie’s Tony, who plays George Shuttleworth, he was left riled up and soon gushed over one of the contestants – but it wasn’t his Corrie co-star Ellie Leach.

Watching the show along with the nation, Tony took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent about the show with his 97k followers. He fumed “I can't make head nor tail of the judge's scoring on Strictly tonight. Completely bonkers.”
He was also quick to send his support to contestant Layton Williams who performed a Grease-inspired routine with pro dance partner Nikita Kuzmi. Tony was not too happy with the scores they received from the judges.
For their performance, the pair received a respectable score of seven points from all four of the judges. But they soon dished out the criticism to Layton and Nikita.
Head judge Shirley Ballas called him for his number of "footwork errors.” She said: "This evening proved just how difficult it is to do ballroom dancing, particularly when you have to come together."
Anton Du Beke criticised his "flat" posture, and suggested his dance was too "lumpy, while Craig Revel-Horwood said his performance “lacked grace” and looked "jagged.”
Tony wasn’t having the judge's scores and critiques and shared his thoughts on X. Replying to a photo of Layton dressed as Rizzo, he said: "You’re SMASHING it babes! The scoring is questionable to say the least. Your talent is not."

On Sunday night (October 8) for one couple their Strictly journey was over – and that was radio presenter Nikita Kanda and partner Márquez.
The two faced Love Island star Zara McDermott in the second dance-off, after failing to impress on Saturday (October 7). Both couples took to the dance floor to perform their routines.
But it was Zara who won the votes which meant it was time for Nikita to hang up her dancing shoes. Viewers watching the show at home soon shared their thoughts, on X, formerly known as Twitter.
And it seems some saw Nikita’s elimination coming. One viewer said: “I predicted Nikita. She really tried, but was very wooden. Anyway it'll give Gorka more time with his family.”
Another added: “Not surprised. I kinda saw it coming.” A third quipped: “At least Gorka will now get the chance to spend the time with his new baby in future weeks.”
