Love Island star facing five years in jail for possession of ketamine

Love Island star Bethany Rodgers is facing up to five years in jail after pleading guilty to possession of ketamine.

Bethany, 24, was caught with 134mg of the Class B drug in 2018.

She pleaded guilty during a hearing at Bradford magistrates court.

Bethany appeared on the hit ITV2 show in 2015 during the first series of Love Island alongside eventual winner Max Morley.

However, her time in the spotlight was short-lived after she failed to couple up and was axed from the villa after one week.

The former reality TV star was bailed and is due to reappear at Bradford crown court next month.

Possession of the ketamine can carry up to five years in prison.

Drugs awareness website states that ketamine is a "very powerful anaesthetic that can cause serious harm."

They add that "taking ketamine can be fatal, particularly if it is mixed with other drugs".
