Love Island favourite Malin Andersson has shared a poignant photo of herself from her time in an abusive relationship, coupled with an important message to her followers on Instagram as she hopes to empower and encourage others to get the help they need.
The image showed the reality TV star with bruises and cuts on her chin, cheek and head and a black eye as she looked into the camera.
Malin then made sure to post a trigger warning for anyone who would have a painful emotional reaction to seeing the abuse after experiencing something similar.
In harrowing words, the star recalled some of the horrific names she’d been called by a previous abuser.
“You’re just a good f**k, nothing else”, “attention seeking sl*g” and “you’re nothing” were some of the terms she shared being called.
The star continued her post: “'You’re gonna have nobody’ ‘You deserve to have no family’ ‘Nobody is going to listen to you’ ‘Nobody gives a s**t about you or what you have to say'.”
After sharing the horrific terms of abuse along with many others she’d received in the past Malin then showed how hearing such awful language and criticism led her down a path of feeling worthless.
