In the latest episode of his podcast series ‘ExpediTiously’, the ‘No Mediocre’ rapper argues that Lil’ Kim should be put in the list rather than Nicki because she has bigger impact.
AceShowbiz -There is an interesting debate going around in the hip-hop community, and T.I. has decided to join in the fun as well. In the latest episode of his podcast “ExpediTiously”, the rapper and some of his team made a list of the top 50 rappers of all time after Trap Music Museum came up with one on social media. However, T.I.’s list raised a lot of people’s eyebrows because he excluded Nicki Minaj from the list.
Noting that the list would focus purely on impact rather than record sales or accomplishment, T.I. argued the list could not have both Nicki and Lil’ Kim because “they are a direct reflection of one another.” He added, “[Nicki] is one of the biggest-selling artists of all time and I salute that. Impact, impact, impact.”
Following an intense deliberation, T.I. and his team had finally come to the decision. “Alright, so this is what we will be doing, for the slot after Bun B, we have Lil’ Kim or Nicki Minaj,” he said, before saying, “All in favor of Lil’ Kim? Alright, well, this is unanimous. The entire table voted for Lil’ Kim. Let her have the slot. The committee has spoken.”
Many have since argued with T.I. and insisted that Nicki should make the list too, and it looks like the female emcee couldn’t agree with his fellow rap star’s list either. “Stop discussing bulls**t,” so Nicki said on her Twitter account on Tuesday, October 8, making fans convinced that this was her response to T.I.’s top rappers list.
“Period! Kim did her thing and opened All-door. But Nicki opened a revolving door! But ima be quiet because that’s old tea!” one said, as another praised her, “Classy response! I’m loving her vibe lately.” Meanwhile, there were people who urged others not to bring up her name anymore when Nicki was just minding her business.
T.I. has yet to directly respond to Nicki, though he already shared a new list in which the latter’s name was included.
