Pop Idol’s Michelle McManus unrecognisable after jaw-dropping transformation

Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus looked completely unrecognisable as she participated in a jaw-dropping transformation for fans.

The All This Time songstress was celebrating the release of Hocus Pocus 2 on September 30 as she donned a witch costume and twirled her bright red hair into crazy curls.

Michelle donned a velour purple frock which trailed to the floor, complete with a blue-and-gold faux-overcoat and bright pink sleeves for the occasion.

Posing alongside a row of Halloween decorations, Michelle completed her transformation into Winifred Sanderson by twirling her fiery red hair into an elaborate array of curls atop her head, in Winifred’s trademark bunches.

She applied a perfect circle of pink blush to both cheeks and coated her lips in bright scarlet to pull a spooky face for the camera, adding a dash of purple eyeshadow and filling in her brows.

Michelle wrote in the caption: “Happy #HocusPocus day!” with a row of Halloween emojis.

Fans flocked to the comments section to praise her incredible look, with one writing: “Best costume ever! I hope you’re wearing that to watch the second movie!”

Another hailed her “brilliant”, as a third fan gushed: “Love it, been buzzing all day! You look fab Michelle.”

“Loving this!” someone else posted.

It comes after Michelle posted an unfiltered, make-up free video to her Instagram grid to chat about her latest project, a Christmas song extravaganza entitled O Holy Night.

Letting her orange curls flow free down her shoulders, Michelle donned an orange and black floral dress with a plunging neckline along with a gem-studded headband to keep her hair out of her face.

She embraced her natural beauty and ditched any eye and base make-up for the clip, only opting for a swipe of bright red lipstick to match her hair.

Michelle couldn’t resist swapping out her gold headband for a pair of Christmas tree antlers to fully embrace the holiday spirit.

“Your hair!” one commenter praised, as another gushed: “LOVE your hair like this!!”
