Ruth Langsford jokes Eamonn Holmes turned skeleton in odd health update

This Morning host Ruth Langsford updated fans on how husband Eamonn Holmes is doing after he contracted Covid, with a rather peculiar upload.

The Loose Women panellist took to Instagram on Sunday, where she shared a video of a Halloween display showing a faux gravestone and a skeleton.

The skeleton appeared to have been buried, with just the head and limbs visible, with the couple's cute dog seen sniffing around in the background.

Ruth captioned the clip: "Happy to say @eamonnholmes is out of isolation today! Just need to feed him up a bit to get his strength back! Thank you for all your good wishes xx."

Many of the 60-year-old's followers took to the comments to laugh at the scene, with one teasing: "Hope Maggie doesn't think bones are for her."

While a second wrote: "So pleased Eamon is out of isolation and know you will feed him up well going by your cooking," Another agreed, adding: "With your cooking, he will soon have his strength back."

Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Eamonn had to cancel his TV work commitments after being struck down by the virus, but he said he was "doing well".

The daytime presenter, who has been double vaccinated, shared the news on social media earlier on Tuesday.

The Irish star said: "Covid finally caught me. Thankfully I’m Double jabbed. More than Half way through my isolation and coping with the symptoms and effects well.

"Unfortunately I’m going to be a No Show for some Professional & Personal events. Just want to let everyone know why & offer my apologies."

Many fans of his have flooded in to wish him well and a speedy recovery.

One fans tweeted: "Get well soon – hope Ruthie is looking after you!"

While a second added: "Get well lovely Eamonn"

And a third penned: "Get well soon Eamonn. The way it’s going I think we are all going to get it at some point. Thank God for the vaccine"

A fourth wrote: "eamonn we are all praying for you, get well soon"

Eamonn has often talked about Covid during his presenting stints on This Morning with his co-star wife Ruth Langsford.

In July, Eamonn said: "I know people who have been double jabbed and they have Covid and they were saying to me, “You would not want to get this” so double jab is not going to prevent this happening."
