Steve Irwin’s wife talks heartwarming way he’ll be honoured at daughters wedding

Steve Irwin 's daughter Bindi, prepares to marry her fiancé Chandler Powell in a honourable ceremony at the famous Australian Zoo, in memory of her dad.

Speaking about the proposed tribute to the Crocodile Hunter on the big day, Steve's wife Terri, verified wedding plans and the gesture to Courier Mail.

Talking to publication Courier Mail, Terri, 55, said: "We want to acknowledge Steve by all of us lighting this candle for him, but you know, I guess in some ways it's not necessary because Steve will be there anyway.

"I believe the people we love always are. You know, if you are missing someone, I think it's helpful to know that scientifically you can't actually create or extinguish life, you can only change its form."

The Irwin clan including Bindi and her hubby-to-be Chandler Powell will pay tribute to Steve, who will not be present to walk his daughter down the isle on her special day.

Bindi penned: "On my birthday I said 'yes' and 'forever' to the love of my life.

"Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness.

"Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose and unconditional love."

In a heartfelt message, an excited Chandler also took to his own platform to share the news, he said: "She said YES! Almost 6 years ago we met at Australia Zoo.

"I immediately fell head over heels for your kind and thoughtful heart that radiates so much light.
