Inclement weather has led to significant delays in various services and school districts across the region. On March 17, 2026, Asheville City Government announced that its offices will operate on a 2 hour delay due to icy secondary road conditions. This decision aims to ensure the safety of both employees and the public.

In addition to the city government, ART Transit will be running a reduced service on the W1 route starting at 6:00 a.m.. Buses will be available on Haywood Road once per hour through at least 8:00 a.m., providing limited access for commuters during the morning hours.

Community centers in Asheville are also adjusting their schedules. The Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center and the Tempie Avery Montford Community Center will open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m., allowing residents to access resources later in the day.
