David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) have been on a downward spiral since they robbed their grandma Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).
They’re even now facing prison for breaking their bail conditions, after Gail (Helen Worth) tried to diffuse the situation and got things horribly wrong.
Poor, long-suffering Gail called a family meeting to unite the boys and Audrey, but things went horribly astray when fighting began and Audrey was hit by a dropped ornament.
The police were called and the boys were arrested, with Gail choosing to go with them over helping out her injured mother.
What happened in court, however, had fans wondering whether they may be leaving the soap.
The judge imprisoned the unruly brothers as she didn’t believe they could adhere to their bail conditions. It doesn’t look good at this point as to whether the judge will look kindly on them at their trial next week.
Not to mention, they’re in prison together, and neither of the boys is one to stay out of trouble. Nick, in particular, falls foul of cellmate Ash, but will David protect him or leave him to his own demise?
The pair are both trying to sabotage each other – as all thought Nick initially planned to take responsibility for stealing the money, he waivers.
At present, neither of the Corrie actors have confirmed they’re leaving, but without some sort of miracle, it looks like one of them could be sent down for a long time.
