Phillip Schofield no doubt surprised fans after he made a shock appearance at the the National Television Awards – sort of.
The glitzy event, celebrating the UK's biggest shows and much-loved TV talent, was back on screens on Tuesday (September 5).
A ton of mega stars all strutted their stuff down the red carpet, before sitting down for a glam night out at the London’s O2 – hosted by Joel Dommett.

But in a shocking turn of events, former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield made a surprise appearance.
Phillip was axed from the ITV programme and the broadcaster completely, after he confessed to having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger co-worker.
But despite insisting that his “career is over” following the affair, Phillip popped up on telly screens on Tuesday evening (September 5) at the NTAs.
The show paid a moving tribute to the late Paul O'Grady, and heartwarming clips were aired during the ceremony.
During the scenes, disgraced presenter Phillip could be seen in the background as a snippet of the Lily Savage star winning an award was shown.
It comes after Holly admitted that it's been "up and down" for her and This Morning after the Phillip Schofield affair scandal, and that it's been a "difficult year.”
Speaking to Daily Star and other press at the National Television Awards (NTAs), she said: "If I'm really honest it's been up and down.
“I think it's been a really difficult year for everybody but what's lovely is, you find that people rally around you and the goodwill is there. People want things to move on.

"It all feels different. During Covid, the viewers relied on us to kind of give them help and talk them through it and give that bit of grounding and information. It's funny now, because I think that's what's lovely about This Morning.
“Sometimes it flips the other way, and you walk down here [the red carpet] and it all feels good again."
Asked about the fate of This Morning, she said: "I'd love to just continue how it is. We are very blessed. We have a great team of people, we really do, and for me personally, I don't want to speak on behalf of other people, but I look around, I see the team getting in makeup… I just want to come to work and more of that.
"I think we're set to continue that."
