BBC Strictly fans issue same complaint about Angela Rippon as star left fuming

Strictly: Tess and Claudia introduce the judges

Strictly Come Dancing fans issued the same complaint about Angela Rippon’s routine on Saturday night.

Angela and her dance partner Kai Widdrington scored a respectable 28 points for their Waltz, although they did receive some criticism from the judges.

Fans felt Angela has been given “slower” routines compared to the rest of her fellow celebrity contestants.

Others suggested the 79-year-old was left “fuming” following her feedback from the judging panel.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, @MrsAri penned: “Angela and Kai are v ‘lucky’ – they’ve been very protected with the choice of dances. Which means jive, salsa, samba are in their near future.” (sic)

@sharmcns said: “#strictly also can we stop giving Angela obvious slow dances she’s gonna be okay at.”

@nutbourne18 echoed: “Another slow slow for Angie. I like her lots tho’ #strictly.” (sic)

@Boppity_Boo34 went on: “It was a nice dance but she needs to do a variety not just slow dances.”

@caronmlindsay added: “Charming waltz from @Kaiwidd and Angela. It got more comfortable as it went on. Definitely hesitant at the start. But lovely storytelling. #scd #Strictly.”

On Sunday night, two celebrity couples will perform in the dance-off in a bid to impress the judges.

It will then be up to the judges to decide which couple stays and which couple is given the boot.

According to the bookmakers’ latest odds, Adam Thomas is currently the favourite to leave the competition.

He landed in the dance-off last Sunday along with Zara McDermott, but luckily for him, he was saved.
