Bling Empire returned for its third season on Netflix earlier this month with the cast giving updates on all their lives, in terms of their romances, friendships and careers. Kelly Mi Li had been in a troublesome relationship for five years with former star Andrew “Drew” Gray but when the third series began, she was single. Despite not looking for love, Kelly found herself meeting her next boyfriend, with a lot of help from friend and Bling Empire star Kane Lim.

Kelly Mi Li has been very unlucky in love since she started starring in Bling Empire on Netflix.
She had an on-off relationship with Drew which proved to be very dramatic throughout the first two series of the reality show.
When it came to the third season, their romance was officially done and Kelly was focusing on herself rather than getting into another relationship.
Fast-forward to the present day and Kelly celebrated her one-year anniversary with her new beau earlier this week.
Kelly commemorated the milestone with a loved-up Instagram post, sharing a picture of herself and her mystery man on the beach, backs turned away from the camera to hide his identity.
She wrote: “They say when you meet the right person, you will just know.
“I never understood the depth of this quote until he walked into my life.
“I have never felt so supported, loved, fulfilled and cared for, nor did I know this kind of love was even possible. Happy Anniversary to my best friend and partner in life.”

Opening up to Express.co.uk, Kelly said that she was “really, really grateful” to have found her new boyfriend.
But without a doubt, she wouldn’t have been in this new relationship without help from Kane.
Explaining how they met, Kelly said: “It was so random, we actually met on the street, like who meets on street corners any more?
“We were up in San Francisco, Kane, who obviously is very vocal and very loud, saw this guy on the street, literally hunted him down and was like, ‘Hey are you single?’
“And then he ran to me and said, ‘Oh my God, I just met this really cute guy, he’s single’.
“I’m like, ‘Kane, stop’,” the Bling Empire star went on to explain.

Kelly continued: “So it was a very awkward first minute when meeting each other, we’re both shy and that was really it.
“Later on, we both realised we’re so passionate about the API (Asian Pacific American) community, especially with all the hate crimes going on and very vocal about it.
“So we connected more on that topic and one thing led to another and we went out on a date, three or four weeks after we met and that was it.
“I still have to thank Kane, he was fired as my matchmaker but got re-hired again!”
Her Instagram post also featured a message for single women who have been struggling to find “the one”.
She added: “To my ladies who are jaded with love, please know there are still amazing people out of there.
“Don’t give up. Use this time to focus on yourself, love yourself, and get to know yourself, your person will come.
“Don’t settle for anything less than you deserve.”
