Coronation Street’s Ray makes killer exit after double attempted murder

Coronation Street's dodgy dealer Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) is set to make a speedy exit after trying to kill siblings Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney).

Debbie had been working with Ray when she returned to the ITV soap last year, however their working relationship has recently soured – in a major way.

New Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that he goes so far as to try and kill his former business partner and her cobbles icon brother.

As the week starts out, Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) is expecting Kevin back from his camping trip with Jack (Kyran Bowes), completely unaware to what's happened to him and Debbie.

When she hears Debbie was last seen going into the Bistro, she goes to find her so she can ask what happened with Ray.

Locked in the fridge, Kevin and Debbie hear a faint hammering on the Bistro door.

Kevin shouts for help as loud as he can, but it doesn't work out.

Later, Abi is left shocked when she discovers from Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) that Kevin never turned up at Jack's camp.

In the fridge, Debbie and Kevin are cold and delirious, but have a heart to heart and speak about their childhood.

Soon, Abi's at her wit's end when the police call at No13 and reveal that they're having no luck in tracking Kevin and Debbie down.

She decides to try and find them herself.

Eventually, Abi manages to break into the Bistro, where she finds the signed contract on the floor – but will she find Kevin and Debbie?

Elsewhere, the police question Ray about the double disappearance, and he suggests they've done a runner with his money.

Back in the Bistro, Kevin urges Debbie to get up and keep moving, but she soon slips into unconsciousness.

A worried Abi confides in her son Seb (Harry Visinoni) that it looks like Ray signed everything over to Debbie, and she and Kevin have slipped off with it all.

She soon gets the help of Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) and they look through the Bistro computer for some clues.

But soon the worst happens when Kevin slips into unconsciousness as well.

Luckily, Abi and Faye hear something coming from the fridge and realise with horror that there is someone in there,

Abi desperately tries to open the door and is horrified when she finds Kevin and Debbie slumped on the floor.

Soon, Faye returns with Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and he radios through to his bosses that they're dealing with an attempted murder.

As Kevin is bundled into the ambulance, he groggily reveals it was Ray who locked them in there.

Meanwhile, Miles collects Ray from the station and gives him his passport and flight details.

A smug Ray waits in the airport lounge for his flight to Turkey – but has he managed to escape justice?

Back on the street, overcome with emotion and grateful to see him alive, Abi gets down on one knee by Kevin's hospital bed and proposes.

A delighted Kevin accepts.
