Coronation Streets Ryan Connor pays heartfelt tribute to amazing co-stars

Coronation Street: Ryan Connor considers online sex work

Coronation Street star Ryan Prescott, who plays Ryan Connor on the hit ITV soap, has paid tribute to co-stars Alison King and Chris Gascoyne saying they “are two of the most amazing people” he has ever worked with.

Ever since his character was scarred for life in an acid attack, his aunt Carla (played by Alison King) and her husband Peter (Chris Gascoyne) have become almost like surrogate parents to him and this is something Ryan the actor really appreciates as it gives him more time working with them.

“Ally King and Chris Gascoyne are two of the most amazing people I have ever worked with,” he told Express.co.uk exclusively at the Inside Soap awards on Monday night.

“They are just those kinds of people you work with on set and learn through osmosis.

Looking far more relaxed than his character currently does on the show, he continued: “Everything they do bleeds into your work.

“They are such talented actors and amazing people in general. I have quite close relationships with them both.

“I learn from them every day and I try and keep up with them every day.”

“It is one of the best bits of the job, especially at the moment if I am honest,” he concluded.

Ryan’s fantastic experiences on set are in stark contrast to his characters at the moment.

Viewers were horrified on Monday night when he was outed for his online cam work.

After finishing a livestream, he got a message from one of his subscribers informing him the filter he used to hide his identity dropped.

When they confessed that they recognised him from a newspaper article as the guy who suffered the acid attack, he was thrown into a panic and tried to deny it.

However, the Weatherfield Gazette was already on the case after Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) showed their article to people in the Rovers Return, including Carla.

With his private work out in the open, Ryan has to make some big choices which could also affect Ryan the actors’ screen time with Alison and Peter.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
