Coronation Street: Daisy and Ryan have heart-to-heart in hospital
Since becoming the victim of an acid attack at the hands of Daisy’s (played by Charlotte Jordan) stalker Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still), ITV viewers have seen Ryan (Ryan Prescott) struggle with his severe injuries.
Growing close to friend Daisy, who has been helping him in his recovery, she’s been trying to keep Ryan’s spirits high as he comes to terms with what’s happened to him.
One of those things to try and keep Ryan happy is pretending to be Ibiza DJ Crystal (Erin Austen) who brutally rejected him after the attack.
Not wanting to upset Ryan, Daisy’s been keeping up a facade for weeks, although it looks as though the guilt is becoming too much for her.
In scenes set to air next week, Coronation Street fans will see Daniel urge Daisy to come clean about being Crystal.
Agreeing, she heads to see him at the hospital after his health took a turn for the worse, although she isn’t greeted with the warmest welcome by her friend.
Ryan had overheard a conversation between her and Daniel, where she expressed being fed up looking after him as her partner grew suspicious of how close they were becoming.
Despite her spiteful words being untrue in order to keep Daniel happy, Ryan is clearly hurt by her statement as he makes it clear he doesn’t need her pity when she comes to see him.
Furious, Ryan tells Daisy he’s got real friends like Crystal who genuinely care about him, causing her to conceal the truth once again.

Later on, Carla Connor (Alison King) visits Ryan just as he receives a message from Crystal.
Clearly smitten, he confesses to Carla he really likes her and is hopeful she feels the same, unaware the real Crystal wants nothing to do with him.
Will Ryan decide to Facetime Crystal after only being in contact via phone calls or text? Could this be the way Daisy’s lie is exposed?
Without thinking, Daisy accepts leaving her friend confused and heartbroken as the pieces start to fall into place on what’s been happening.
Touching on her character’s lie to Ryan, actress Charlotte Jordan admits Daisy’s intentions come from a good place.
The soap star told Metro: “Daisy’s plan is totally the wrong thing to do and it’s absolutely ridiculous but it does come from a good place.
“Daisy is not doing this because she wants to cause trouble, she is doing this because she wants to give Ryan time to heal.”
Although the Coronation Street star teased there could be drama ahead as she stated Ryan would react “horrifically” if Daisy’s lies are exposed.
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
