As the final episode of My Mum, Your Dad aired on Friday night, viewers branded presenter Davina McCall as “brilliant” as the episode left viewers in tears.
The tenth episode of the series saw the parents find out that their own kids had been acting as ‘relationship experts’ and guiding them in a number of ways throughout their two-week retreat.
Following the shock announcement, the kids were then able to meet up with their parents and their new partner and decide if they would like to give them their blessings.
The show's final winners who, not only found love, but also received their kids blessings were Natalie and Paul, Sharon and Elliott, and Roger and Janey. Monique decided to end things with Martin M and remained single.
Although heir was no huge cashpot prize in the final episode, viewers were thrilled with how the show turned out, with many praising host Davina.
One fan took to Twitter and penned: “@ThisisDavina Great show Davina #MyMumYourDadUK”, while another added: “Davina is so brill isn't she?”.
A third viewer sweetly wrote: “the kids, the parents and Davina are just lovely!!! what a series!!!! #MyMumYourDadUK”, while another added: “Hope they do a reunion in a few months to see how things pan out, that hint is to you @ITV incase you haven't already planned to”.
After following the emotional journey’s, many fans also found the last episode tear-jerking as one fan said: “The way this show has me crying tears like I know them all. This show should come with a warning signs and that tissues will be needed. These letters from their parents has me in tears gosh”.
Another added: “Just watched the final episode, and it was such a beautiful but emotional end to the series. I really hope we get a reunion to find out if any of the couples are still together. Please make it happen”.
Since the show has been a huge success with viewers, Davina has hinted that a celebrity version of the show could soon be on the cards.
Explaining how she has loved every moment of the show and the role she has played in bringing lovelorn parents together, Davina toldThe Sunthat she would definitely be intrigued about the possibility of helping love blossom in the celebrity world.
“I want to present this show for the rest of my life. A celebrity version would be so good — how many single celebs are there? I'm interviewing now,” the star cheekily told the publication.
