Dick Strawbridge's son accidently posts rare inside look at Escape to the Chateau home | The Sun

ESCAPE to the Chateau star Dick Strawbridge's eldest Son, James, shared a series of photos inside his father's famous French home – but then he quickly said it was a mistake.

James took to Instagram where he posted three pictures showing the inside of the iconic Escape to the Chateau home.

He posted a photo with his dad Dick smiling outside during a misty sunrise and one in front of the Chateau's exterior with his stepmother Angel and James' half sister Dorothy.

In the comments section under the post, James backtracked as he wrote: "Oops – I was a week early… blame my dad for telling me the wrong date! At least I won’t need to post about it next week,"

A third image was inside the French home, showing Dick, James, and James' half brother Arthur smiling in the kitchen.

The grand cooking space features white tiles and a stainless steel counter for food prep.

There are also pots and pans hanging from the walls, a common sight in many royal kitchens too.

"I've got a better-groomed moustache and beard I'd like to say for the record," joked James.

This comes after James recently has revealed his half-siblings will inherit the Channel 4 chateau in the future, rather than him.

James, the star of his own BBC cookery series Strawbridge Over the Drawbridge, opened up on the future of the Chateau and how it will be passed down to Arthur and Dorothy and their future generations.

Speaking to the Express, he said: "When you go to the chateau the work being done with the renovation is quite quick compared to when you look at a house with a 500-year history.

"Arthur and Dorothy's great-grandchildren in many years' time and like one of the next generations will probably have a bit more of a chilled-out vibe."

In the latest series of the show, viewers have seen Dick and Angel battle to get the chateau ready for its first wedding guests since the Covid pandemic.
