Aadi Alahan’s (Adam Hussain) life is on the line in Coronation Street, as he finds himself trapped in a car after a deadly crash.
The teen is one of three people trapped in said car, along with sister Asha (Tanisha Gorey) and dad Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), after their vehicle is involved in a collision with a prison van transporting criminal Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
Aadi regains consciousness in the wake of the accident, but the smoke becomes heavier and heavier, endangering their lives.
He pleads with Dev to wake up, and eventually Dev does just that. Aadi struggles to free his legs, while Dev is more focused on Asha, who has lost consciousness.
With the smoke continuing to cloud up the car, the situation becomes more and more concerning.
Believing that Aadi can help himself get free, Dev gets out of the car and grabs Asha, before carrying her from the wreckage. But Aadi is stuck and Dev has no time to go back when the vehicle blows up.
The question is: does Aadi die?
Does Aadi die in Coronation Street?
It’s currently unknown as to whether or not Aadi dies in Coronation Street. It’s certainly not looking good for the popular teen, however, as he struggles to free himself from the wreckage before it erupts into flames.
‘Dev stumbles out the car and says to Aadi, help yourself and I think that is the catalyst moment for him’, Adam Hussain told Metro.co.uk, explaining Dev’s decision to save Asha over Aadi.
‘He has always treated Asha better, but this is the real tipping point for him. Dev sees she is unconscious, but Aadi is still there asking him to help.
‘The very last thing Dev says to him is help yourself. He feels like he has to take care of himself for him now on – his own dad won’t help him out of a burning car.
‘He’s always had to look after himself with the work at the shop so he’s not entirely shocked, it’s more of a realisation.’
Is Adam Hussain leaving Coronation Street?
There is no indication as of yet that actor Adam Hussain is leaving Coronation Street.
Adam took over the role of Aadi from previous actor Zennon Ditchett in April last year.
‘I am excited to play the role of Aadi, putting my own twist on him as the character becomes involved in an important new storyline,’ he said at the time.
‘I was already good friends with Tanisha Gorey, before coming to the street, which helps hugely with portraying the bond of brother and sister.’
Coronation Street continues Monday October 18 at 7:30pm on ITV.
