Does Daniel cheat on Sinead with Bethany in Coronation Street?

Coronation Street’s Sinead (Katie McGlynn) and Daniel (Rob Mallard) are set to receive the devastating news that Sinead’s cancer has returned and is terminal.

In scenes to be aired next week the joy of the couple’s wedding day is overshadowed after she learns that the disease has spread and has only months to live.

And the heartbreaking exit storyline could be about to become even more complicated with suggestions that Daniel is set to cheat on Sinead with Bethany (Lucy Fallon).

Can it be true? Here’s what we know…

Does Daniel cheat on Sinead with Bethany in Coronation Street?

Although it’s not been confirmed whether the pair will actually have a fling, they certainly have been growing closer of late.

Bethany recently confided in Daniel that she was going to write up her grooming experiences in the hope it would help other people in similar situations to speak out – and Daniel was flattered when she asked him to read over her article.

Later, following a row with Sinead over wedding plans, Bethany is left disappointed after her article doesn’t make it into the Gazette – with Daniel tearing a strip off the editor as a result.

After assuring a mortified Bethany he only wanted to help, there’s a moment when it seems that he and Bethany might kiss.

But their closeness hasn’t gone unnoticed by Sinead, who’s set to grow suspicious as to what they’re really up to.

It was reported last month that the pair would indeed share a passionate kiss, with a source telling The Sun: ‘Daniel leans a bit too much on Bethany and she him after all her abuse by Nathan’s gang is brought back up.

‘They’re both really vulnerable and one minute they’re talking and the next they’re snogging.

‘Daniel is going to be guilt-stricken over what he’s done to Sinead, and he’s terrified he’s getting his dad’s worst qualities. Bethany will confide in her family over what’s happened to try and come to terms with her own guilt.’

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 7.30pm, with a second episode this Fridat at 8.30pm.
