EASTENDERS fans have ripped into a 'pointless' Sharon Watts storyline – before spotting a blunder as well.
Recent episodes of the BBC soap has seen Sharon – played by Letitia Dean – consider a move to Abu Dhabi for a job she's been offered.
But considering Sharon is central to EastEnders' big Christmas storyline which was seen in a flashforward earlier this year, many fans of the show have rendered the storyline a waste of time.
The flashforward saw Sharon in a wedding dress in the Queen Vic alongside Kathy, Denise, Stacey, Linda and Suki as they look down at a mystery male who has been killed.
Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one fan wrote: "Yeah but Sharon isn’t leaving is she? Because she’s involved in the six so this is kind of just filler #EastEnders."
Another added: "Welp… at least we know that Sharon isn't leaving for Abu Dhabi anytime soon."

However, the current storyline has also caught the attention of viewers for the way Sharon pronounces Abu Dhabi.
Pointing out the blunder, one EastEnders fan tweeted: "Obsessed with the way Sharon pronounces Abu Dhabi as Abby Dabby."
Another wrote: "I’m obsessed with Sharon repeatedly pronouncing Abu Dhabi as AbiDabi with a straight face."
It comes as some fans have been left concerned for Sharon after Keanu Taylor made a cruel decision in Thursday's episode.

Sharon has no idea Keanu is planning to kidnap their son as soon as he gets on his birth certificate.
Keanu was convinced by his mother Karen to seduce ex Sharon, marry her, get on Albie’s birth certificate and then disappear with her cash and their son.
In last night's episode, he agreed to the plan and waited until Sharon was vulnerable to pounce.
