EastEnders fans reckon they have twigged the return of soap legend Jane Beale after believing they spotted her on set in a behind-the-scenes video.
The long-running soap has welcomed back a ton of characters in the past 12 months. Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) returned from the dead after a 25-year-hiatus years.
While Patrick Trueman’s long-lost love Yolande Trueman, played by Angela Wynte, also came back after 15 years. Then last month, bosses confirmed Lauren Branning (Jaqueline Jossa) is making a permanent return to the soap.

And now, fans reckon the soap is welcoming back Walford legend Jane Beale, played by Laurie Brett. As viewers will recall Jane was married to Ian Beale and appeared on the soap on-and-off for 13 years.
In 2017 though, she said her goodbye to Walford. But after the soap shared a recent BTS video on their social media channel, fans reckon bosses have accidentally leaked Jane’s return.
In a video shared on TikTok, actress Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter, showed fans a day in the life at work on the soap. Throughout the clip, Kellie chatted about her character’s upcoming storylines, as well as Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) recent shock return.
She then headed to the make up room to get glammed up and into character. However, in the background of the clip, fans spotted a woman who looks a lot like Laurie.
Rushing to the comments section, one person said: “Is that Jane sitting on her phone as Kelly comes out of getting her make up done?” Someone else proclaimed: “Ooh I hope so – I'd love Jane to come back."

A third chimed in and penned: “Was that Jane Beatle?” Echoing their thoughts, another eagle-eyed fan mused: “I will FREAK out OMG it looks like her!"
Jane dramatically left the EastEnders cast in October 2017 as Max Branning's (Jake Wood) reign of terror hit his peak. The worried step-mum was pushed out of Albert Square by the villain after he tried to kill her in the restaurant fire.
Jane's brush with death came after she watched Max kill Steven Beale (Aaron Sidwell). As well as after she'd figured out his plot to bring down Walford with the help of the Willmott-Browns.
