Emmerdale villain Meena Jutla (played by Paige Sandhu) has finally got her claws into Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) after David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) broke up with her. However, it didn’t take the evil nurse long before she started to get jealous of Billy’s close relationship with his ex-girlfriend Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley). ITV viewers have been eagerly waiting for Meena to get exposed for her murderous crimes, and it is only a matter of time before she does.

In scenes that aired on Monday night, Meena attempted to catch her boyfriend out after she questioned him on his whereabouts.

However, Billy stuck to his story and told her he was with a friend called Dave despite really being with Dawn.

Elsewhere, Dawn got a surprise knock at the door from her ex-boyfriend Alex (Liam Boyle), who is also the father of her child.

Despite trying to get rid of him, Dawn’s ex refused to leave which led Harriet Finch (Kathryn Dow Blyton) to question what had happened.

It was then revealed that Alex was the one who got Dawn into drug-taking

“You look really well,” he told Dawn as he barged through the door. “I am clean now too.”

As she tried to hide her secret, Dawn chipped in: “He is just an old boyfriend, and he is leaving right now.”

Harriet wasn’t satisfied with her response and so pushed Alex for an answer. He admitted: “I badgered her into trying heroin.

“I wanted her to become an addict like me and so she wouldn’t leave. I hate myself for it, but I am clean now.”

Alex went on to ask about Dawn’s son Lucas and whether her drug-taking affected him at all when he was born.

Dawn questioned him on why he was there, which is when Lucas ran down the stairs.

As Lucas asked Alex who he was, he responded: “I am your real dad.”

Dawn proceeded to kick Alex out of the house, which is when they got into a blazing row.

Billy was quick to intervene and admitted he would go to jail in a bid to protect Dawn and Lucas.

Despite their differences, Dawn eventually agreed to let Alex see their son.

Jealous Meena was watching from the sidelines, which is when she hatched another evil plan.

When Alex went to get back into his van, she approached him and led him to believe that Harriet had a drinking problem and that Dawn was using drugs again.

“I think there is something you should know about his mum and that guy who tried to attack you,” Meena began.

“Don’t be fooled by the dog collar, the vicar, she drinks. Social services are involved, and Lucas almost went back into care.

“Dawn checking your arms for needle marks, you should be doing that to her.”

She added: “He is a vulnerable little boy; I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if I didn’t speak up.”

Meena has already created a seed of doubt into Alex’s head, but in a bid to get the ultimate revenge will the nurse end up planting drugs on Dawn?

If she goes through with the evil plan, could Dawn end up losing custody of her son and will Billy turn his back on her for good?

Viewers have also noticed Meena’s jealous streak about Dawn and have taken to social media to share their thoughts.

Mick penned: “Meena zeroing in on Dawn like a military drone. Awesome.”

Ryan pointed out: “Meena will be livid when she sees you hanging around with Dawn, Billy. Be careful.”

While Jania added: “Ooo, Dawn is going to see thru Meena? Want her out’ed but love that she hasn’t been yet.” (sic)

Caitlin tweeted: “My mum’s got a theory that with Dawn saying death follows her that something is going to happen to Meena when she (inevitably) goes after Dawn and she’ll die, leaving Dawn to spiral again. Seems possible to me.” (sic)

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
