Emmerdale fans fear for Harriet as she trashes church in moment of rage

Poor Emmerdale vicar Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) trashed the church during Friday night's episode.

Harriet has been having a tough time of it having covered up DI Malone's death earlier this year, keeping it a secret and dealing with her split from Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

And after Will made it clear they were over – despite their romp on Thursday night – things got too much for Harriet.

She headed to the church and pleaded with God for some help, before losing her temper and throwing everything around.

Viewers have been left concerned for Harriet, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One said: "Aw Harriet, you keep dealing with your struggles in your own strength, by yourself. No one is perfect. Trashing the place won't do anything. 'Call upon God,' as the word says, 'and He will help you.' Don't be afraid to speak to someone in your ministry."

Another wrote: "Harriet is going mad… she will lose the vicar job as a new family are coming into it, a father and son and the father is a vicar."

A third tweeted: "Harriet in destruction mode in the chapel. That Christmas tree took the brunt of it."

Someone else said: "Aw poor Harriet having a meltdown."

And a fifth added: "The new vicar may be a good thing for Harriet as I feel she knows she's lost her way."
