GEMMA Collins has revealed she fears for the Love Island contestants as the show plays with their emotions.
Speaking on the same night that Amy Hart broke down in tears after ‘half boyfriend’ Curtis Pritchard told her he’d kissed Jourdan Riane behind her back, the Towie star said she couldn’t get into the show as she was so worried about the Islanders.
“I love it, like everyone else but you know, some of the games they play on there that are set up for them to do, I just feel that it could be a little bit tough on them to be honest,” she said at last night’s Heart Dance launch party.
“I worry about them because you know I’ve been in the reality realm myself and I have been one of the lucky ones that can cope with it.
“But yeah, some of the things I see that they have to do on there, I’m little bit like ‘these are people’s emotions, guys’.”
Gemma – who has lived through the ups and downs of her relationship with Arg on Towie – is referring to the games in Casa Amor where Islanders are forced to kiss people who aren’t their partners.
The GC went on to reveal she’s backing boxer Tommy Fury, saying: “Do you know what, I’m only watching Love Island because of Tommy Fury. I’m a big fan of his brother the boxer.
“I hope Tommy Fury wins.”
Between last night’s huge row between Anna, Michael and Amber, and Amy breaking down in tears in the Beach Hut over Curtis’s betrayal, the show racked up 196 Ofcom complaints.
An Ofcom spokesperson said: “We will assess these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”
Fans have begged bosses to step in and help Amy after she sobbed that she “had no future” after her relationship with Curtis went wrong.
Tonight, she accuses him of breaking her heart – and gives him an ultimatum.
Fans will have to wait until tonight to see if the relationship survives – but bosses have rushed in extra support for her in the villa.
