Gemma Collins vows to 'stop animal cruelty in my lifetime' as she poses with donkeys

GEMMA Collins is backing animal companionship over human company any day as she vows to "stop animal cruelty in my lifetime."

The TOWIE star took to her Instagram page for an impassioned plea for kindness to "magical wonderful" donkeys as she posed next to two of the furry mammals.

Gemma, 39, held their leads as they posed in a field, with the reality star oozing boho chic vibes in a multi coloured cardigan and bright blue headband.

She finished off her cool casual look by going make-up free and keeping her blonde hair in a straight style.

Taking on the role of the donkey's cheerleader, she wrote on her Instagram caption: "I PREFER ANIMALS to HUMANS ✌🏻

"Donkeys are the most magical wonderful animals 👉🏻 I will stop animal cruelty in my lifetime ✌🏻."

She then urged her fans: "Stop wasting your life on social media scrolling !!! promote worthy causes do something with your platforms 🙌🏻."

Her words attracted messages of support from her showbiz fans, including S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara, who wrote: "Animal cruelty is just wrong on every level!!"

Proving the total animal lover, she recently revealed on her podcast she wants her new diamond-encrusted home to house an array of furry friends – including zebras.

The GC has a busy schedule at present, coupling her animal campaigning with her new clothing collection for online retailer, In The Style.

The Sun Online exclusively revealed the £500,000 deal, which came after she lost three stone during the past year.

An insider said: “Gemma’s made a mint for In The Style – her meme range was a sell out and stars like Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall have been seen in her designs.

“They were desperate to get Gemma on board for a whole collection and she signed on the dotted line without hesitation.

“Gemma is so into her fashion and she loves the team at ITS so it was a no-brainer."
