Gigi Hadid 'feels in the middle' of Zayn Malik assault scandal with her mom Yolanda as model chose to 'end relationship'

GIGI Hadid “feels in the middle” of Zayn Malik’s assault scandal with her mom, Yolanda, a source exclusively told The Sun.

Yesterday, it was revealed the couple split after Yolanda Hadid, 57, accused the One Direction singer of “striking” her during an argument – which resulted in him being criminally charged.

In the midst of the family feud, an insider claimed that Gigi, 26, has felt she’s stuck between the drama with her mother and her baby daddy.

“Gigi feels like she's in the middle, she's not on anyone's side,” the source told The Sun.

“That's her mom and the father of her child so it's a tough spot, she has loyalty to both. She's doing her best but [her daughter] Khai is and will always be her #1 priority.”

The insider added: “Gigi’s tried and tried to mediate [Yolanda and Zayn’s] relationship but they just don't see eye-to-eye.

“She realized it was healthier for her to not be with Zayn right now. It was ultimately her who ended the relationship.”

Earlier today, The Sun confirmed Zayn, 28, was charged with four counts of "harassment" after Gigi's mom claimed he "struck" her.

The father-of-one was "charged with four criminal offenses of harassment," and has pleaded no contest.

Documents obtained by the The Sun claim Zayn was at the home he shares with Gigi in Pennsylvania on September 29 before an argument broke out.

He allegedly "called Yolanda a f**king Dutch s**t," and commanded her to "stay away from [my] f**king daughter."

The British pop star also referred to the infant as "the f**king sperm that came out of [my] f**king c**k", according to court papers.

Zayn then allegedly "shoved [Yolanda] into a dresser causing mental anguish and physical pain," though he has denied any sort of physical contact.

According to court documents, the UK native then called Gigi, who TMZ claimed was not at the home.

The supermodel was reportedly at Paris Fashion Week when the altercation occurred – and allegedly left early when she heard the news.

Zayn allegedly screamed over the phone at her to "strap on some f**king balls and defend your partner against your f**king mother in my house."

The report also alleged that a security guard was on the property during the altercation, and the X-Factor alum yelled "get the f**k out of my f**king house copper" before trying to fight the officer.

Although he pleaded no contest on Wednesday to harassment and was fined, he will have "conditions" on his case.

The young father will face 90 days probation for each count, with a total of "360 days."

He has also been ordered to not speak or make contact with both Yolanda and the security guard who was on duty at that time.

If the entertainer has "satisfied" all conditions of the case for six months, the judge has the authority to "terminate probation."

Yesterday, The Sun revealed that Gigi and Zayn had "split" after he allegedly "struck" Yolanda during an argument.

The couple called it quits “with the intention of getting back together,” a source told The Sun.

“They've broken up multiple times before so when it comes to them getting back together, never say never.

“But they definitely need time apart, it's what's best for everyone involved,” the insider added.

The informant also explained that tensions first began rising between Zayn and the Real Housewives star when she "leaked their pregnancy news" though he wanted it to remain private.

"Tension really started between Yolanda and Zayn last year when he suspected she was the one who leaked their pregnancy news in the first place.

“Gigi and Zayn didn't want to announce it publicly until after Gigi gave birth. With lockdown, it was the perfect time to give them that privacy they never would have had otherwise," they disclosed.

“They were so grateful for that privacy and they were very upset when it came out. Zayn is a very, very private person and while dating him, Gigi has become a lot more private too."

The source also alleged that Zayn feels Yolanda does not have the "same sense of privacy" which has led to the two "clashing."

“They also have very different parenting styles and both are extremely stubborn when it comes to Khai," they added.

Gigi and Zayn welcomed their daughter, Khai, in September 2020 after five years of on-again-off-again dating.
