Im A Celeb 2023 to launch with special feature length episode runtime

As I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will be making its big return to the Australian jungle and our screens later this month, with one exciting change.

ITV is said to have extended the current runtime of the launch, making the first episode 105 minutes long. The longer episode will allow more time to introduce viewers properly to the new batch of celebrity campmates.

At the moment, ITV have not confirmed which celebrities are brave enough to head into the famous jungle, but there are plenty of names being linked with the programme.

It follows as the start date has been confirmed, and fans don't have long to wait before Ant and Dec will be gracing our screens most evenings of the week once again.

A teaser, first shown at the start of the week, saw hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealing the news from a "top secret jungle location". Dec said to the camera: "Hello everybody. We're coming to you from a top secret jungle location with some exciting news."

Ant then jumped in and said: "And that exciting news is, I'm A Celebrity is back!", and the start date has been confirmed as Sunday 19 November at 9pm.

Fans shared their excitement on X, formally known as Twitter, as one said: "The joy of having these two back and that nearly xmas feeling", while another added: "Can’t wait for the new series so excited now not long".

A third penned: "It’s not Christmas without I’m A Celebrity, I can’t wait for the return of the new series and perfect timing after when Big Brother finished", while a fourth added: "Can’t wait for what we know will be another epic series ahead of us."

From This Morning host Josie Gibson to Masterchef’s Grace Dent, the speculation has been mounting about who will make the cut this year. Jockey Frankie Dettori is another name that has been linked with the new series, and ahead of the launch, he has been spotted in Australia.

Love Island ’s Gemma Owen has also sparked rumours that she is swapping the villa for the jungle after she jetted off to Australia last week. Some other names on the list include former the One Show host Matt Baker, comedian Catherine Tate, and weatherman Alex Beresford.
