Yvette Fielding, often referred to as the 'First Lady of the Paranormal,' has undergone quite the transformation since her time in the I'm A Celebrity jungle eight years ago.
Back then, she was known for her fiery red hair, but she now sports a two-tone hairdo and chic, thick-rimmed glasses.
Yvette is best known for her role in the popular TV series Most Haunted, which she co-hosted with her husband, Karl Beattie.
The show involved paranormal investigations at haunted locations around the UK and often resulted in plenty of screams, jumps, and scares. After a 17-year run on television, Most Haunted moved to YouTube, continuing to captivate audiences with its spine-chilling content.
Yvette's extensive career includes her role as a host on Blue Peter at the age of 18, making her the youngest presenter in the show's history at the time.
However, the presenter has opened up about her “horrific” experience on the show on the Celebrity Catch Up: Life After That Thing I Did podcast. She revealed: "To me, the most important thing in a job was to please your boss and do the best that you can do.
"The problem was that I was trying to please my boss so much, but my boss seemed to be – I don't know why – just incredibly cruel.
"I thought that I'd be doing okay, and then I was told that I was useless. Absolutely useless, again and again and again and again."
In the end, Yvette decided it was too much for her, adding: "It was a very, very hard time, and I did resign."
During the 1990s, she appeared in various television programs, including What's Up Doc? on ITV and The Heaven and Earth Show on the BBC. Her latest endeavour, Most Haunted Theatres, is set to be released in February, and a second instalment focused on haunted castles is also in the works.
Yvette has not only been a familiar face on television but is now also a successful author. Her latest book, titled Most Haunted Theatres, is geared towards young adults and delves into the ghostly histories of nine historic entertainment venues.
Yvette said of the book, which will be released in February: "As Most Haunted is being shown on different streaming platforms we’re seeing lots and lots of brand-new, young fans to the series, and I’ve been desperate to write something for them that captures all of the thrills and chills I’ve had investigating in theatres over the years – there’s something about them, there’s always a story or two behind the scenes!
"I can’t wait to get out there and meet my young paranormal fans.”
The book introduces readers to various spooky stories, such as the 'father of clowns,' the ghost of the killer thespian Charles Jacklin, and the lingering spirit of a ballerina who tragically took her own life.
